Can you feel it?

Whether it’s performing in our wide range of concerts or teaching and inspiring the next generation of singers, Sound of Ages is on a mission because we believe in the infinite power of the human voice. You might also know that U.S. arts organizations depend—by design—on two forms of income: earned revenue (ticket sales, fees for service) and tax-exempt donations. Your favorite arts organizations would simply cease to exist without philanthropy because many beautiful, worthy things—like music, dance, theater, etc.—simply cost more to produce than can be recouped by earned revenue alone.

If you have felt the magic in our music, would you help bring it to more audiences? Please consider making Sound of Ages (a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization) one of your charitable priorities.

“Music is likely to be the ancestor of language and it arose largely in the right hemisphere [of the brain], where one would expect a means of communication with others, promoting social cohesion, to arise…

…music does not symbolise emotional meaning,…it metaphorises it - ‘carries it over’ direct to our unconscious minds. Equally it does not symbolise human qualities: it conveys them direct, so that it acts on us, and we respond to it, as in a human encounter…such living creations are seen as being essentially human in nature…music, poems, paintings, great buildings - can be understood only if we appreciate that they are more like people than texts, concepts, or things.”
