Auditions

Please complete the following form with your audition materials. The deadline for Bass audition submissions for the 2025-2026 season is June 15, 2025. Once received, audition materials will be reviewed and notification will be sent regarding in person auditions by July 1, 2025.

Sound of Ages is comprised of two concentric ensembles: Sound of Ages Consort and Sound of Ages Ensemble. The Consort operates similar to The King’s Singers or Voces8, one-singer-per-part, no subs, rehearsing and performing frequently based on the availability of the group. The consort performed 42 paid musical services (rehearsal, workshop, or performance) during the 2024-2025 season. This number is comparable to the number of paid services next season. Sound of Ages ensemble performs less frequently (typically 1-2 times per year) and is comprised of anywhere between 12 and 24 singers depending on the project. Singers are contracted in order of “seat” which is determined by skill and availability.

Consort singers are expected to give Sound of Ages the first right of refusal and participate in all gigs for the 2024-2025 season. The season schedule is still being finalized but will be sent out before the second round of auditions.
